HOUSING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The position of administrative assistant consists of being responsible for providing administrative and clerical services to ensure effective and efficient operations of Whitefish Lake First Nation’s Housing.
Duties & Responsibilities
-Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages
-Attend meetings to record minutes
-Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by Housing Director
-File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports
-Greet visitors and assist in taking information or providing housing support
-Make travel arrangements for director
-Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email;
-Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic office administration
-Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, budgets and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
-Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
Lines of communication
-The Housing Administrative Assistant will report directly to the WLFN Housing Director.
-Will be required to follow Band Operations COVID 19 Protocols
-Reliable transportation to and from work
This is a TERM position for the five months and could lead to full-time permanent employment.
Qualifications and requirements
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying and to actively look for ways to help people
