Chief Albert Thunder

Albert Thunder is the youngest son of eleven children to the late Henry & Evelyn Thunder. Born March 10, 1970, he grew up in Whitefish and attended Atikameg Sovereign School. He later went on to attend Fairview College. Albert is a Business Entrepreneur, at the age of 26 he was hauling logs for ALPAC, and now runs his own trucking business. He's worked for Loon Lake First Nation as their safety guy, and a Safety Instructor for Northern Lakes College.

 

Chief Albert's portfolio is Chief & Council, this includes the programs: Agricultural Benefits, Industry negotiations, Board Meetings (Entities), Administration, ACOM, Capital Projects, Consultation Office, Grants, Trappers and Housing.

Councillor James Nahachick

James Nahachick is the fourth oldest of eleven siblings to the late Frank & Irene Nahachick. Born October 10, 1958. He grew up in Whitefish, in his mid-twenties he left the reserve, returning in 1999. James has worked in a variety of settings such as Gas Jockey at the former T&L store. He has worked in Public Works as a plumber. He was the Water Treatment and Plant Operator for the community of Whitefish, and the maintenance man for the Atikameg School. James is in his forth term and twelfth year as a Councillor of Whitefish Lake First Nation #459; his portfolios include Social Development, KTC Child & Family Services, Policing/Youth Justice and Housing.
