Welcome to Whitefish Lake First Nation #459, we are a Cree Community located in Northern Alberta 141 kilometres north of Lesser Slave Lake. Our Nation has a land base of 8,300 hectares and approximately 2,900 members.  The Nation is a part of the Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council, and Treaty 8 First Nations.

 

Our website is here to provide online information for band members and visitors. Here you will find information about our different departments, contact information, updates, community meetings

for on and off-reserve, employment opportunities, and on-going projects. The hope is to encourage involvement and keep members informed 

 

Our mission is to promote a self-sustaining community, utilizing a holistic soul, mind, body and spirit approach.

Notice of Total Community Lockdown

By way of a passed motion of Chief & Council, a total lockdown for 14 days has been declared for the community (Reserve lands) of Whitefish Lake First Nation #459. This is a necessary measure to properly respond to the rising Covid-19 cases in the community and the surrounding towns and cities across Alberta. The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance and we must curb this virus and move towards zero positive cases.
