Welcome to Whitefish Lake First Nation #459, we are a Cree Community located in Northern Alberta 141 kilometres north of Lesser Slave Lake. Our Nation has a land base of 8,300 hectares and approximately 2,900 members. The Nation is a part of the Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council, and Treaty 8 First Nations.

TAKE NOTICE Members of the Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the Electors of the Whitefish Lake First Nation will be held on March 11, 2021 to vote on the proposed amendments to the “Customary Election Regulations of the Whitefish Lake First Nation”.
The purpose of the meeting is to hold a vote to approve the proposed amendments to the “Customary Election Regulations of the Whitefish Lake First Nation”.
Please be advised, the voting procedures will be modified to ensure we practice social distancing in accordance with current COVID-19 pandemic prevention recommendations.

All Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 members over the age of 18 are urged to vote. Whitefish Lake First Nation voters can obtain a copy of the proposed amendments to the “Customary Election Regulations of the Whitefish Lake First Nation”, at the Whitefish Lake First Nation Administration Office, along with a copy of the Voting guidelines that will be used to ensure social distancing, between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Amended Customary Election Regulations
for Whitefish Lake First Nation #459
Please read and review the Amended Customary Elections Regulations, voting to pass the proposed amended Bylaw will take place March 11, 2021.
There will be copies available at the Atikameg Post Office, also a copy will be placed in every mailbox. If you would like a copy emailed to you, message the Facebook page at Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 requesting for a copy, along with the email you would like it to be sent to.
We want all our members to be informed, so that members can make an informed decision come March 11, 2021, let’s get the word out there!
